There is a total of 223 Universities that have a Wrestling program and a total of 58 Universities for Women. This is rather few opportunities compared to other sports which makes it harder to get recruited as Wrestler. However an exceptional athlete has a quite large chance to obtain a wrestling scholarship with a good university. College Wrestling teams have around 9 wrestling scholarships within a team.

The key to get recruited with a wrestling scholarship is to have a solid record of competition as a junior. What the coaches want to see is official records of your performance and maybe a video of you in a big tournament. Make sure you send ICAC a raw recorded video, meaning no music or cutting and other distractions from your performance. Without this video it is hard for a coach to estimate your level and to give you an offer.

The practice at college wrestling teams differs from university to university but what is a common factor is that the wrestling teams practice hard and intensive.

A Men’s university skiing team has around 6 skiing scholarships while the girl’s teams have around 7 skiing scholarships. A university skiing team has around 14 skiers in the team; the coach of the team is responsible of dividing the scholarships within the team.
There are very few Colleges that have skiing in their athletic department, these schools are often located in the northern part of the United States. The competition is not very broad because of the limited amount of universities that participate in skiing competitions compared to other college sports but it is very intensive.

To get recruited in skiing, you need a solid background within the sport and have some good times recorded in competition. The athletic video is not that important in skiing, it’s the recorded times that are essential if you want to be recruited with a skiing scholarship. It helps if your countries have a good tradition in skiing as a sport.

The universities are allowed to offer 4.5 scholarships for the men’s teams and 8 for the women. These scholarships are distributed within the team.

For you be recruited it is important that you have a good presentation video with match footage, unless you have merits from your countries junior national team.

The college national championship for water polo takes place during December month. This means that Water Polo is one of the few sports where you can get recruited in the fall and spring semester.

To get recruited in the spring actually gives you more team to get adjusted and prepared for the upcoming championship. ICAC however still recommends students to aim for the fall semester, this is due academic reasons.

To be recruited with a hockey scholarship, it is important to have a good video. You want to mix it up with maybe 3 minutes practice footage and 7 minutes match footage. Other countries with strong hockey tradition will have a easier time to get recruited than players from countries where hockey is not a big sport.

International Hockey players want to attend their university in the fall semester (august).  It is almost impossible to get recruited in January as a hockey player.
